4. Fierce competition and raising demand from the customers are the main reasons why an organization needs to have a winning business model at all times. A winning business model explains clearly how an organization obtain its revenues, what uniqueness are offered, and how well does the organization fulfill its promises to the customers. Even a non-profit organization should constantly search for new funding to cover their operational expenses. Crafting a winning business model is a passport to the so-called “blue ocean”, a remote place in which competition is irrelevant. This place is far from the “red ocean” which is characterized by bloodshed due to a fierce competition. Our program uses the Business Model Canvas approach, which emphasizes on a highly informative visual method. This new approach, introduced in 2010, has been used by over 450 organizations globally. In Indonesia, PPM-Manajemen has already assisted many organizations in designing their new business model using a contextualized Business Model Canvas approach.
